Packing and Moving Rates and Rules

  • Monday - Thursday - 2 men - $99/hour
  • Friday - Sunday - 2 men - $104/hour


2-hour minimum, $46/hour for every additional man


  • A 2-hour minimum applies to all jobs. Beyond the two-hour minimum, we bill on 15-minute increments.
  • Pricing includes a truck, dollies, moving blankets, wardrobe boxes to move hanging clothes, picture boxes to move artwork/mirrors, and TV boxes to move flat-screen televisions.
  • Time starts when we arrive at your home.
  • We bill for "double drive." This refers to doubling the time it takes us to get from point A to point B. For example, if it takes us 30 minutes to drive from your old home to your new home, and your move took exactly 4 hours from start to finish, then we would add an additional 30 minutes to account for our return trip and bill you for 4 hours and 30 minutes.
  • All medicine, jewelry, flammables, and firearms must be moved by the customer and cannot be insured by CMMC.
  • You are automatically insured for $0.60/LB of any item. Additional insurance may be purchased (see insurance options).
  • We normally wrap mattresses, box springs, and upholstered furniture in plastic shrink wrap to keep them clean while we handle them. However, we charge for the plastic, which is either $5 per piece of furniture or $26 for an entire roll of plastic, which will normally wrap 4–5 good-sized pieces of furniture.
  • There is no tax on labor. There is a tax on materials such as plastic shrink wrap, tape, and boxes you purchase.

Cancellation Policy and Fee

You can cancel or postpone up until 5 PM the day before your move. If we do not hear from you by then, you will be charged $150.


Ways To Be Prepared For Savings


1. Be organized in the way you pack:

  • Boxes should be sealed with tape and no bulges.
  • Books and heavy items can only be put in small boxes.
  • Boxes should be stored out of the way before the move - not impeding the flow of furniture.
  • Boxes should be well-marked as to where they go in the new space.
  • Fragile boxes should be marked clearly as such.
  • Boxes should not weigh over 50 lb.
  • Clearly mark or set aside items that are not to be moved or go to a different place.


2. Disconnect or take apart items that require it:

  • Computers
  • Stereos
  • Cable boxes
  • Furniture that has to be disconnected
  • Wall units
  • Returns from desks
  • Cubicle partitions (unless previously arranged)
  • Copier trays and any wet toner should be removed
  • Any earthquake-proofing brackets should be removed from the wall
  • Washers and dryers
  • Ice maker on refrigerator
  • Mirrors that are connected to dressers


3. Move things yourself that are small and fragile:

  • Small things are more time-consuming to move than big things.
  • Fragile things that require time to protect well.
  • Medicine, jewelry, and firearms should be in your car prior to our arrival and/or locked away in a safe place where it will not be overlooked or misplaced.


4. Prepare your furniture to move easily:

  • If your desk drawers come out, they can be left full, except for breakables and valuables.
  • Letter and legal files can be left full if the drawers come out.
  • Lateral file drawers should be emptied.
  • The open space in the middle of the credenzas must be emptied.
  • Shelves in bookcases that are loose should be taken out and identified.
  • Furniture should be marked as to where it goes in the new space with a sticker or something that will not come off (not a Post-It Note).
  • Dresser drawers can have clothes in them, but not glass, perfume, jewelry, or other fragile things.
  • Open spaces in armoires or tall dressers need to be emptied.
  • Plants should not be watered right before moving.


5. Have your space planned out in your new home/office:

  • Know where your furniture is going before move day and make sure you measure the furniture first if there's a question that it might not fit.
  • Have a schematic of each office taped to the door of the office to assist with putting furniture in its proper place.
  • Be available for questions.
  • If possible, children and dogs should be left with a relative or neighbor.
